LAST Conference 2023 Talk – Tribute to Sam

Dear All,

Upon receiving numerous requests from those who missed my talk or wished to revisit it, I am pleased to share the recorded version below.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all those who joined us in honouring the memory of Samar.

The presence of Samar friends who traveled from Melbourne to pay their last respects was deeply appreciated.

I’d like to express my gratitude to my and Sam’s friends Jess, Aline, and Ryan, whose unwavering support has been invaluable. A special mention to Aline for being my pillar during this time.

Additionally, I want to thank Jess and Sophie for bravely sharing their own experiences. Sophie and Jess spoke about some of their experience as part of my talk.

P.S. I will be uploading I, Sophie & Franky talk which happened after the main session as open forum talk where I and Sophie shared our experiences together. It will be uploaded in November.

Franky Cancer Journey – Must Listen – Part of Open Forum Talk

Franky, who joined us all the way from Taiwan, has undertaken the courageous task of sharing his personal journey with cancer. Sam was his initial pillar of support during diagnosis, and Franky feels Sam absence is deeply felt..

The aim is to shed light on the realities faced by those battling this disease. Throughout one’s experience with cancer, it is not uncommon for individuals to feel an inclination to push people away. The emotional toll it takes, combined with the physical challenges, can lead to a desire for solitude. This withdrawal from communication often arises from a variety of factors, including fear, anxiety, and the need to process their own emotions. As a result, individuals may find themselves feeling isolated, which can heighten feelings of loneliness. By bringing attention to these aspects, we can better understand the immense challenges faced by those battling cancer and work towards creating a more supportive and empathetic environment for them.

Samar Cancer Labs – 19th September 2023

Thankyou Salman Bhai and Haris being the instrumental support for making Ali’s dream a reality. I being sitting remote and you both looking after the construction there, takes my immense worries away.

As per your requests, I am delighted to share the prayer gathering for Samar, organised by the Bin-te Fatima Foundation in Lahore.

It’s truly remarkable how fate led me to a place Samar deeply wished to visit, particularly for Kartarpur. Little did I anticipate that the foundation for cancer labs would be established right here in Pakistan.

The video of the prayer gathering will be available below.

Thank you for your ongoing support and interest.
